About
Financial platform oriented for For Investment Bankers, IT ExCO and Regulatory.

Problem Statement
IT Bank platform was a solution with the comprehensive portfolio management tool, CRM, trading, and operations analysis.

The tool analyzed and compared investments based on key criteria like transactions, fees, risk, returns, and impact; captured trades from multiple sources; integrated with upstream and downstream applications to process risk, P&L for the IR derivatives, and reporting for the front and middle office; provides traders with an early view of risk metrics (live PV and Delta), Market Data views of trade within a few seconds.

1
2

Support for reference data and platform configuration
4
Create internal full-functional CRM system
5
Manage the external interactions and relationships
Challenges
I participated in requirements gathering, ui research, and task analysis activities with business stakeholders.

Advised on UX/UI practices to product owners, project management team, and executives, followed to the Waterfall and Agile practices on the projects, followed to the deadlines of the projects, and provide design estimations. Created visual and motion visual assets using Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop/Illustrator/After Effects/InDesign/Dreamweaver) Sketch and Invision, that aids usability of the application.

As a Lead UX/UI Designer I was responsible for the design development process from concept, wireframing, full design layout, prototypes, style guide documentation, user flow maps and use cases, visual assets generation (color pallets(theory), icons, icon-fonts, typography, logos, marketing design materials and infographics). Leaded and mentored 3 UX/UI designers.

I produced high quality deliverables through all phases of the project. Created interactive prototypes to quickly validate concepts with the team and the stakeholders. Collaborated with engineers during implementation phase to ensure the application meets design intent and quality bar. Reviewed and tested web UI (HTML/CSS) assets and UI features and provided feedback to developers.

Developed Visual Documentation Library, graphic designs and UI Style Guide.
Results
I worked on this project for more than 2 years, we had an international cross located team, many workshops, business trips, hundreds of brainstorm sessions, and a few big releases.

Working on the vendor side I followed to manager's and stakeholder's tasks and feedback and tried to put myself into the User's "shoes". As a result I created a platform that looks good for sale but didn't match the key-user scenarios and didn't have good usability. We skipped the most important stage - user research, and as a result, we went in an absolutely wrong direction and led to the launch of a completely useless product.

I got my professional lesson: to focus on the customer journey because it is important that a user is motivated to use the app, avoid information overload, and simplify complex data into action.

"UX, Design Thinking, and a User-Centred Approach are often regarded as purely marketing tools, instead of taking their rightful place in business processes' transformation in the Financial segment."
